As an Occupational Therapist, our OT focuses on helping children and adolescents complete meaningful activities that occupy their time. This includes supporting her clients to learn, develop, and adapt their skills, to increase their confidence and engagement in the childhood occupational areas of selfcare, education and play. Our OT works cohesively not only with the team but with the child’s community as a whole; promoting inclusion, awareness and understanding among family members, caregivers and educators. We use a child and family centred-approach to guide her planning and seeks creative evidence-based interventions to support her clients.
