What services does the Clinic provide?
The Clare Crusaders Children's Clinic is unique through a number of factors:
- We provide children with access to the services they require for free
- The Clinic is managed on a voluntary basis so all funds raised go directly to the children's services
- We currently have the largest pool of child specific therapists in Ireland outside of state services
What makes our Clinic really unique is the progression of the children because they can access the level of service required for them to develop to their full potential.
Our 8 therapists currently provide the following range of services to more than 350 children and young adults:
-
Speech & Language Therapy
- Physical Therapy
- Occupational Therapy
- Special Education Teacher
- Reflexology
In addition to individual therapies provided, we organise regular group activities for children such as the Halliwick swimming programme, arts and crafts classes, music groups, cookery lessons and play therapy groups. All of these groups provide fun, enjoyment and stimulation to children while aiding their development, social interaction skills, confidence and independence.
On top of working with the children, we offer support and information to parents to allow them take the necessary steps to secure the best help and services they can get for their children and sometimes themselves.
