Dingle Marathon and Half Marathon September 12, 2009

Well done to more than 30 crusaders who completed the Dingle run. It was a hot day which you would never have expected but everyone stuck in there and completed the challenge. Hats off to you all. Dublin is next!!!

Kerry Crusaders Launched

Gordon Flannery officially launched the Kerry Crusaders with a barbeque in John B Keane's Bar in Listowel on July 31st. 67 people have already signed up to Gordon's challenge to take on the Dublin City Marathon on October 26 next. It's all in aid of a very similar cause to Howard's original idea, the Nano Nagle school. The very best of luck to all involved.

Clare People 10k

Well done to everyone who took part in the Clare 10 km last Saturday, great feeling to finish along the new track, even if the heat made it a tough run..... particularly well done to those who were taking on their first race, especially those who joined us a few weeks ago and genuinely found it tough to cover 3 miles..... you have now completed over 6 miles and you did it in style... take a bow. The sight of so many orange shirts on Saturday morning was a great motivation to everyone involved in the Clare Crusaders. Thanks to Padraig, Brian, Tom, Mark & Fintan for helping out with the posters and thank you to Allen Flynn for hosting our night out in the Old Ground (and Padraig for organising). Cannot forget Coach Ghilardi for the enthusiasm and motivation all the way round on Saturday.
